partnerships

At The Well, we take a 'together, we are stronger' approach to service delivery. We've built strong relationships with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies across the region. We also have strategic partnerships with commissioners who've contracted us to provide recovery services locally.

Partnership working

Substance misuse cuts across a variety of social issues such mental health, domestic abuse and homelessness. We understand the importance of contributing to regional strategic programmes to maximise resources, share knowledge and have a greater impact in communities. We work collaboratively with a range of agencies in the NHS, criminal justice, social service, education and voluntary sectors.

Our partners, to name a few, include: Cumbria Youth Service, HMP Preston, HMP Haverigg, Cumbria Police, Police and Crime Commissioners in Cumbria and Lancashire, Love Barrow Families, Furness College, Red Rose Recovery, More Music, Snap Gym, Reason Digital and People Plus. Strong partnerships not only add value to our services but also provide a route for us to reach more people – whether it's in prison, education or through healthcare providers, for example.

We also work closely with members' families and we see them as key partners in the delivery of our services.

Local partnerships add value to our services and help us to reach more people.

Service contracts

We work with a number of commissioners across Lancashire and Cumbria. For example, we provide mutual aid services and training in Barrow for the Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, one-to-one therapy programmes for Cumbria Alcohol and Drug Addiction Service, and a recovery programme in Barrow and the South Lakes for Unity.

As part of our service, we get involved in research, planning, stakeholder mapping, building links with other agencies, creating project plans and evaluating performance. We also have a solid reputation for delivering excellent, value-for-money recovery services that have a high success rate. We have the capacity to deliver services in more locations and we’re keen to collaborate with those who share our values.
